Young Voter Turnout

Did you vote on Tuesday? Voters aged 18-29 showed up to the polls for the midterm elections–young voter turnout averaged around 27%, increasing from 20% in midterms during the 1990s. Congratulations to our young voters for using their voices and casting their votes.

Tuft’s Center for Information & Research on Civic Learning and Engagement (CIRCLE) estimates that 27% of youth (ages 18-29) cast ballots in 2022, making this the midterm election with the second highest youth voter turnout in almost 3 decades. Their data also suggests that youth turnout was even higher in some battleground states.

Let’s continue using our voices and exercising our right to vote!
